📰 Article: Monthly Budget Review: June 2025 | Congressional Budget Office | CBO published their monthly budget review last week. It's super boring, but also not — Federal spending has increased by $320 billion (or 6%) so far this fiscal year. There's been lots of talk on "cutting" spending, but if we're going to leave Social Security, Medicare, and Dept. of Defense spending untouched and simultaneously cut taxes, we're not going to reduce the deficit. Math is math.
