July 🌎 Temperatures: 🟠+1.00°C (↑0.05°C/yr)
July 2025 global temperatures were about +1.00°C warmer than the 1901 - 2000 base period average; July temperature anomalies increased by ↑ 0.05°C per year since 2020.
The global temperature anomaly in July was similar to June at +1.00°C. DC definitely felt hotter in July than I ever remember, but apparently July 2024 was warmer. The interesting thing to me is the differences between Arctic and Antarctic temperature changes. The Artic is routinely seeing temperature anomalies well over +1°C while the Antarctic temperature anomaly has been less consistent (although it’s worth remembering that it’s the winter in the Antarctic). It’s still definitely getting warmer in the Antarctic, though.
